Lawang Suwung in collaboration with Nyawang Bulan Event
1. General Overview of the Activity
The Lawang Suwung activity was organized by Nyawang Bulan Event in collaboration with Yayasan Duta Chakra Budaya as part of the introduction and experiential implementation of the 5 Sense System based on the Lawang Suwung concept. The activity aimed to provide a transformational experience grounded in Cultural Genetics and Environmental Awareness, particularly targeting participants categorized as Land-Based Communities. Approximately 32 participants attended the event, with 10 participants completing the post-test evaluation. Around 90% of participants belonged to the Land-Based Community category. Overall, the activity ran smoothly and received positive feedback from both participants and the event organizers.
2. Activity Implementation
The event took place on 20 December 2025 at Dothub Summarecon, with Nyawang Bulan Event as the main organizer. The program was facilitated by Mira Sartika and Asri Wulandari as expert facilitators, supported by field team members Farhan and Atria. The activity sequence included an opening session introducing the Lawang Suwung concept, followed by experiential sessions of Lawang Lemah and Lawang Cai, designed to engage participants in embodied, sensory-based environmental awareness.
3. Participation and Outcomes
In addition to the experiential sessions, the program provided personal consultation sessions, which were utilized by more than 15 participants, indicating strong engagement and interest in the approach. The activity concluded with the completion of post-test evaluations to assess participants’ experiences and initial impacts. Overall, the Lawang Suwung activity was effective in introducing its core concepts and fostering reflection, awareness, and personal transformation among participants.
