2025
The year 2025 has been an inspiring and transformative chapter for Chakra Cultural Foundation. Building on the momentum of previous years, 2025 marked a period of intellectual growth, international engagement, and deeper community collaboration in our mission to safeguard and revitalize Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
A major milestone this year was the publication of our new book, Pendataan Tradisi Lisan 5 Ritual Peralihan di Indonesia, which encapsulates years of fieldwork across three provinces. This publication enriches our cultural knowledge repository and reinforces our dedication to advancing cultural research as a foundation for identity, innovation, and cultural sustainability.
Another momentous achievement of 2025 was our Cultural Mission to Japan, held in October. Together with Indonesia’s Children Ambassadors of Culture, we presented performances, cultural diplomacy initiatives, and a Focus Group Discussion in Amakusa. This mission strengthened our cultural exchange efforts, deepened international partnerships, and reaffirmed the global relevance of Indonesia’s cultural diversity.
Our participation in several major international and regional conferences further elevated Chakra Cultural Foundation’s global presence. Throughout the year, we contributed to the Jena Declaration Conference, the RWYC Asia and Africa Conferences, the Chandi Summit 2025, the APCHG Forum, and numerous other platforms where we shared insights on cultural intelligence, oral traditions, and cultural genetics. These engagements expanded our international network and positioned Indonesia’s cultural voice on a global stage.
At the community level, we continued to nurture cultural appreciation through inclusive programs, including an offline cultural workshop with the community of Kalisoga, Brebes, involving more than 100 children and teachers. This initiative showcased our commitment to accessible cultural education and community empowerment.
Several collaborative research projects have also been initiated and lined up for 2026, strengthening our interdisciplinary approach to cultural studies. We are optimistic that two of our flagship programs—Sakola Indung and Kulsain Club—will begin implementation in 2026, further enhancing our mission to empower women, strengthen cultural intelligence, and support intergenerational knowledge transmission.
The achievements of this year were made possible by the dedication of our team and the unwavering support of our partners, collaborators, and communities. To all of you, we extend our deepest gratitude.
As we step into 2026, we do so with renewed optimism, determination, and a shared purpose. Together, we will continue to protect, nurture, and celebrate our cultural identities while embracing innovation for a resilient cultural future.
