Participation in Chandi Summit 2025, Bali
In September 2025, we represented the Chakra Cultural Foundation at the CHANDI Summit 2025, held at the Bali Beach Convention Center, The Meru Sanur. The summit—centered on Culture, Heritage, Art, Narrative, Diplomacy, and Innovation—welcomed delegates from more than 42 countries, bringing together global cultural institutions, ministries, universities, and creative leaders, with the main theme CULTURE FOR FUTURE.
Over three days, we participated in major plenary sessions and thematic panels addressing essential topics such as international cooperation for repatriation, the protection of cultural objects, strengthening traditional knowledge for resilient societies, financing cultural innovation, and culture-based climate action. We also took part in the CHANDI Forum, practical cultural workshops, and academic seminars at ISI Bali and Udayana University, which explored intangible cultural heritage, digital heritage, and the use of AI for cultural documentation and preservation.
The summit concluded with the adoption of the Bali Cultural Initiative Declaration, a collective commitment by participating countries to enhance cultural cooperation, safeguard heritage, empower creative communities, promote intercultural dialogue, and establish culture as a central pillar of sustainable global development. Through this participation, Chakra Cultural Foundation strengthened international networks and reaffirmed its dedication to advancing culture, heritage, and diplomacy as vital elements of Indonesia’s global engagement.
