Cultural Workshop at Kalisoga, Brebes
The Cultural Workshop and Performance Training, a collaborative program between RWYC (Reconnecting With Your Culture) Indonesia and Padepokan Kalisoga, successfully took place on June 14–15, 2025 at Padepokan Kalisoga, Lastri Village, Brebes. Held as part of the Creative and Arts Week of SMAN 1 Larangan, the event brought together 100 youth participants from various schools and cultural communities across Brebes. Participants engaged in a series of creative activities, including cultural workshops, performance rehearsals, and interactive discussions with artists and RWYC cultural practitioners.
This extracurricular, free-of-charge activity provided a meaningful learning experience that strengthened students’ creativity, collaboration skills, and cultural literacy. The organizing committee also provided food-support vouchers for 30 participants and accompanying teachers, redeemable for a meal box, snacks, and beverages. Throughout the two-day workshop, students actively took part in rehearsal sessions and cultural exploration activities, which will contribute to the official documentation for RWYC Indonesia, Padepokan Kalisoga, and SMAN 1 Larangan for future outreach and publication efforts.
As an outcome of the program, all participating students received the Ambassador of Culture Certificate from RWYC International, while schools received the RWYC School of the World Certificate and an Appreciation Certificate from Padepokan Kalisoga. Several institutions attending the workshop—including SMPN 1 Larangan—were officially welcomed as new members of the RWYC School of the World global network, marking an important milestone for expanding international cultural engagement among students in Brebes.
